Top 10 uses

1.    Travelling to your destination.

Not only is it comfortable to travel in a sarong, it ensures you arrive at your destination ready to go.  In my experience people still travel in the clothes that should have been left behind in their country of origin!  I often smile to myself as I watch them struggling to remove items of clothing in a desperate effort to cool down, having forgotten just how hot it can be in a far off tropical country!

2.    Creating your own outfit.

Using your sarong for that special event guarantees that you will not only look glamorous, but that no other woman will be wearing the same outfit.  Trust me, the more you wear your sarongs, the more confident at designing your own outfits you will be.  Try taking your sarong with you to your favourite store, as this will help you select the right colours.

3.  Alluring and pregnant.

This is such a special time so make the most of it.  I spent my first pregnancy in very typical and boring hide me at the back of the room, kinds of clothes.  Not so for my second.  Give them a go, you will find that not only are they very comfortable and glamorous, you will not have to throw them out at the end of your pregnancy because they have lost their shape!

   4.  Nothing to wear?

So you’ve had a last minute invitation, not a problem when you have a collection of sarongs at hand.  Check out our how to wear page.

5.    Going to work on a really hot muggy day?

You will be the envy of all your colleagues when you turn up in a sarong.  I suggest wearing in dress style, as this is the coolest way to wear a sarong whilst still looking professional.  Check out our how to wear page.

6.    Giving a barbeque?

Remain cool and collected as you rush around after all your guests and still manage to look amazing.  Simply tie in a double knot at the back of your neck and wear over jeans or light summer trousers.  Check out our how to wear page.

7.    Dressing gown replacement.

I love to potter about in the mornings and like to complete housework before I leave for work but have always found dressing gowns too restrictive. One morning I grabbed a sarong and realised I had the solution, simply tie your sarong in a knot above your bust for a glamorous yet discrete alternative to a dressing gown.

8.    On the beach.

These Batik sarongs are of such quality you will find they provide very flattering and discrete coverage as you wander back from the beach to your hotel for drinks or lunch.

9.    Sunscreen Wrap.

Try using your sarong in the same way you would use a pashmina.  I don’t just mean in the evening to keep the chill off, I use mine during holidays to keep the sun off my shoulders and back.  After all, we really must protect our skin!

10. Tablecloth

I regularly use my sarongs as tablecloths, especially if there’s a particular colour I need to complete my table display.  You can also try folding your sarong to the desired size to use as a table runner to help give that extra splash of colour you may need.

My favourite tip:- Fold a sarong in half long ways and place it on your bed.  Lay all your holiday clothes on top of the sarong making sure nothing is folded.  Roll up into a fat sausage shape and place in your case.  I often have 2 rolls in my case.  When you arrive at your destination open your roll and you will find your clothes will be crease free!
